What is noglow?
noglow is a titleless scratchpad for iPhone, Mac, Windows, and Android. eight slots, a blank line, and a place to peel notes off when you're done. the same note follows you from phone to laptop. it's the cross-platform answer to Tot, and unlike Tot on iOS, it's free. it is not a notes app, and it does not do markdown. that's the point.

Dragging text out of a terminal mangles its line breaks and spacing. noglow gives your AI coding tool (Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible tool) a clean way to send a short snippet straight into a slot, formatting intact. read it, tweak it, paste it on. macOS only, and the snippet lands in the slot you pick under settings → general.

Can I add more slots?
No, and that is on purpose. The fixed set of eight slots is the feature, not a limit you are meant to grow out of. Each slot keeps its place so it stays muscle memory, and anything you finish with peels off into a searchable archive that never fills up. The set stays small so it stays fast.
The MCP server won't connect, or won't pick up the latest version?
The command runs through npx, which caches the server locally. Once in a while that cache holds an older build, so the server can drop mid-session or stay a version behind. Clear it with npx clear-npx-cache, then restart your AI tool (start a new session).
